The Studio
Made by Hand
Made to Enjoy
I am a ceramic artist, creating both functional and one-of-a-kind pieces, all made entirely by hand. After many years in the United Kingdom, I returned to La Rioja to pursue ceramics professionally, setting up my studio in Navarrete, a town with a strong pottery tradition.
My work stems from a search for simplicity, functionality, and the quiet beauty of forms. I am especially inspired by Japanese aesthetics and the concept of shibui, which comes through in clean lines, natural textures, and matte finishes.
Each piece is made individually, with careful attention to every stage of the process. I aim to create durable pieces with a sense of identity, valuing craftsmanship, time, and deep respect for traditional ceramic materials and techniques.
I create pieces meant to be part of everyday life: to be enjoyed over a meal, a shared coffee, a vase of freshly cut flowers, or those little moments that give each day its meaning.
I like to think that a handmade object does more than serve a purpose; it invites us to slow down, notice, and enjoy simple things a little more.
